Fender Jazz MIM Repaint

They veneer them all, so the don't have to keep the sunburst bodys on seperate assembely lines etc.
If I told you what color it is going to be it would ruin the surprise, but here are some pictures of it after the sanding process was completed.
It was my understanding that rejected sunbursts where sprayed with a solid rather than redone as a burst.
almost done with the bass, just waiting on the new pickguard and strap locks to come in. Will upload more photos when it is completed, since there is a limit on my uploads.
I started using photobucket.com. Upload them there, then when you create a posting here, use the advanced settings. From there, you can add the URL (which photobucket will provide). Voila!
Nope, most of the MIM's that I have stripped have been 3-7 pieces of alder glued together with a veneer on the front and back. Very common for fender. Even some of the us bodies have veneers. I've got a 9 piece(counting the veneers) P bass that rocks!

Pickguard came today, bass is looking pretty fly for a white guy's weekend of hard work. Will be completed tomorrow
