Fender Jazz serial number

Following your recommendation I am after a Fender Jazz. Somebody offered me one with following serial number: Z3018406

I don't know the seller and just wanted to be sure it is American so please could you give some light?

mine has 4 digits. but its a 74 i think.

its printed in green stamp on the neck joint if you remove the neck from body.

also, it said something like tested or inspected by someones name

my headstock does not have any serial number

just says fender jazz bass like how marcus millers bass is.
i also have a bullet truss rod. at the headstock

the block inlays of pearl and the white binding i think let me go look...
