Aside from everything else mentioned here the cost of labour is higher in the u.s.

I own a MIM 60th Anniversary V, a MIA Jazz and a MIA Deluxe Precision.

While I cannot deny there is a difference in workmanship between the MIA and MIM, the MIM still plays very well in a gig setting.

Worth double the cost? Hmm, I have to think about that one.

im building a jzz now from a mim body. i've read often that the pups in mims are caca & noticed there are one million of them for sale, cheap, while antiquities, fralins, etc are $$$

but who knows. havnet heard mine yet. almost done

Hahaha, the one MIM Jazz I've played sounded really good. Compared to the MIA JB's I've tried, it sounds fatter but with less definition; nothing new pickups wouldn't fix

Just got my mim fender jazz today via ups bought from guitar center, i took it to get set up but the craftsmanship is out of this world!!
