Fender Modern player short scale neck into SX or MIM body?

Hello!
I have just bought a Fender Modern player short scale.
Right handed.
I am lefty but wanted to try the neck.
I am going to put the neck into a lefty body and have two options:
An SX jazz and a Fender MIM jazz.
The SX neck pocket is perfect, but the bolt holes dont fit. I would need to drill new ones on the neck.
The holes in the MIM are perfect, but the pocket is a little wider than the neck.
What would you do?

Personally, I would go with the SX body. IME, its always best to have a tight coupling in the neck pocket for best vibrational transfer (tone). Along those lines, SX bodies are 3-piece vs up to possibly 5-7 (IIRC) piece bodies of MIM instruments - it matters to some for personal preferences/beliefs regarding overall instrument vibration & liveliness. But that is another debate entirely.

Some people have criticized SX necks for various personal preference reasons or sometimes overall fretwork, but SX bodies cannot be faulted. Their bodies are rock solid quality and built in 3-piece construction like Fender MIA utilizes. All this entirely IMO & YMMV.
