Fender Mustang

Really, really want a Mustang bass.

Noticed that Fender have stopped production of the reissue model and the squire model. Do you think it's worthwhile waiting to see if Fender start up a new line? Like they did with the Jaguar, where they introduced MIA models. Do you think the Mustang will be brought back? Or would it be better jumping onto the used market?

You can still get the Mikey Way Mustang in the Squier line, and the Pawn Shop Mustang in the Fender line new.

Other than that, it's hard to tell anything at all about what Fender might do.
They seem to be going through some major changes lately.

Yeah I breifly had a pawn shop mustang but didn't get on with it. I wasn't a fan of the humbucker It was too loud and way too hot. I'm looking for a traditional Mustang with the split single coil.

Surely Fender has to bring out a new line of Mustang basses again at some point? It seems strange if they just stopped making them full stop.

Excellent thank you. I guess now it's just about trust. As long as they're genuine fenders
