Fender N3 vs. Bill Lawrence P46/J45

Was it? Because I am about to buy PJ set.
If this question was directed at me, then I’d say “it depends.”

It’s a high quality pickup for sure. And if you’re just looking for a slightly more refined and even-sounding jazz pickup, then maybe it’s right for you. I put this into an 80s E-series squire jazz and enjoyed it (although I’ve since, and regrettably, sold that bass).

But it you’re looking for a bigger change in the sound of your bass, I’d look elsewhere. Basically, get these if you already like the sound of your bass and just want to tighten it up a bit, I’d say.
