Fender P Bass 96 MIJ - looking for some info

Hi guys

I'm looking for some info on my Japanese made P Bass. I love this bass and will never get rid. One thing that ive noticed is the neck on it is a 57 reissue neck, but the body is a 3CS finish, which I believe would only be used for 62 reissue models?

Ive taken the neck off and that's stamped is '3CS'.

This is an MIJ model opposed to an CIJ one, and I believe 96 was the last year before moving factories, so is a possibility the makers could of just used the left over parts before moving factories?

Any of you Fender experts out there able to shed any light on it?

The serial number starts with V by the way and its a 50th anniversary model.

Apologies for the poor picture quality.

Thanks in advance.

Martin
