Fender p bass

i'm looking at buying a 2000 fender p bass. the seller isn't the owner and can't give me much useful info. the only thing he's told me so far is that the serial number starts with "N". i've consulted the fender website and know all the letter prefixes for that year but they didn't say what models these prefixes coincided with. can anyone help me?

If the seller doesn't have access to the bass to give any information I'd tell him to take his flunky and dangle.
