Fender Power Jazz Special

I just bought a 1988 Fender Power Jazz Special and absolutely love the way it plays. I was thinking of upgrading to Bartolini P/J pickups and a Badass bridge just to get a better sound. The stock pickups seem a little anemic. Any opinions on whether I should do this? How difficult is replacing the pickups given the unique circuitry? Would I notice a difference if I replace the bridge? I appreciate any feedback!

Nice bass! I'd suggest raising the pickups higher before you replace them...
