I bought a fender p bass pickup from ebay & it seems to be larger than the space in the p bass to fit by about an 1/8 of an inch on either side. Does this mean that the pups aren't american pups, & might be mim or japan pups? I bought them under the belief that they were american pups??? American pick guard has to be shaved as well???
bottom line is they can be forced into the space provided for them in the p bass, but all being fender american parts, should there be this much of a diffrence in the size of the pickup to the pickup cavity?
