Fender pure 63 P bass PU v Duncan SPB-1

Just wondering guys if anyone has ever A/B'd these two PU's.

I've got the SPB-1 in my P bass and I like it, actually gets quite grindy when needed but would really like to hear if the 63 can better it, after all its a heck of a lot more expensive so would imagine its a better PU, but is it?

I been own Fender 63pup and SPB-1 previously on my Squier CV 60P bass.

The only string i i try with both pup is Sadow Black label 40-100 flat. And the SPB-1 just stay on my P no more than 2 weeks.

The Sadow is modern tone flatwound, the Fender 63pup is over wound 12K with thick Lo-MID and MID tone without harsh Hi. Overall string to string tone balance is better than SPB-1 to me.

SPB-1 is smooth P vibe pup play with finger style , but the D and G sound thin to me. If you are pick player and you get nice sound while play between Pickup and Bridge position. The MID charator from Sadow flat could make Scoopy SPB-1 sound better in mix , BUT i still prefer Fender 63 pup vibe myself.
And i sold the SPB-1 after experience with it.
