True but what I’m saying is that bass has a modern nut with. That makes it way easier to play and in my opinion thick front to back is actually a bit of a bonus. That type of neck feels so comfortable. Plus I can tell you from firsthand experience that the Heritage series has a very similar build to Fender Custom Shop, better in some respects. I have both in front of me right now. It also has vintage frets which feel absolutely amazing. Very small frets and if you like playing finger style with low action and flats, it’s perfection. There’s one on Reverb from Florida where the seller has their own website that has no tax and no shipping. I would even call them up and ask for another 200 off. I was so close to buying that one, beautiful!!! I think you’d be surprised at how much you’d like the neck shape with the thin nut. Especially one as polished as a Heritage series. Another thing about newer made in Japan models as they have the same measurements as the real US models. The old PB 57 does not so if you want a new pickguard and stuff like that, it doesn’t fit right. The pots are different, etc.
