Fender Rumble 4x10 with Mesa diesel 1x15

I currently have a Hartke lh500 running into a newer Fender Rumble 4x10 cab as my smaller setup… the Hartke has two 8ohm out puts in which I run a single cable from the head through my cab, which is also 8ohms…

now I have the opportunity to gain a Mesa diesel 1x15..two things:

I can run the other 8ohm output into the diesel right off, correct? Since it’s 8ohms also …

and

what do you think of this combination? I usually try to stay true to the same brand but this could be a steal… thoughts?

Yes, you can hook both 8 ohm cabs up and that drops it to a 4 ohm load, safe for the Hartke.

How it’ll sound together is subjective; you may love it, I may not, but what you need to look at is if it’s safe to drive the two cabinets together at higher power.

Check the power ratings of each. It’s possible that the 115 will run out of gas before the 410 does, or vice versa, and cause distortion. You have to make sure the two will play well together. Also, if one is way more efficient (SPL number), then it’ll be louder than the other. See his close they are in comparison.

I personally don’t pay attention to the rule of you have to run all the same drivers, but I do pay close attention to how compatible they are. The speaker gurus will be here shortly to offer you more detail.

Well I wound up getting a Fender rumble 115 to match… the 4x10 is 500watt continuous/ 1000watt program… the 115 is 300watt continuous/ 600watt program… both at 8ohms… my Hartke LH500 head is 500watts with two 8ohm outputs… I do have a Hartke LH1000 also but for some reason I feel the 115 couldn’t handle?

would it be better to hook one cab per output or daisy chain? I’m new to the stack business. I usually either used a combo or a 4ohm 6x10 (which is why I’m going with a breakable stack)….
