Fender Rumble 500 head as a DI

Does anyone know if I can run this head with no speakers. Simply to use the preamp as a DI. I don't want to hurt the amp by not having a load on it, doesn't say anything in the manual about it.

You can run any solid-state head -- which this is -- without a speaker load.

Edit: Keep in mind the DI output is POST-EQ and master volume control on Rumbles.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Yeah the DI is interesting. I like the tone of the head, and I want to run it into the board as a Di. It's a set it and forget it situation. I can adjust volume in my in-ears

Personally, using the head as a DI worked absolutely fantastic. Nothing more I need

Those are cool. But they don’t have the Rumble voicings.

Does it mean that i can’t use the DI without having the speaker sound ?

You can use the DI on the amp without a speaker plugged in. If it's unplugged, the speaker shouldn't make any sound. If it does, get back to us here.
