The 210's do have an impressive power handling capability.
Found a sweet-looking Prestige RG today & sat here deciding if I really wanted to blow over $1k USD on a second guitar, with a double-locking vibrato setup.
The Studio 40 comes to the rescue with the Chromatic Pitch Shift. I've got it tuned in a little better now, by setting the toe & heel to get roughly 1 octave dive or rise in pitch.
At the default setting the toe position is over 2,100 cents high (almost two octaves), which makes even a bass guitar sound like bagpipes.

I’ve spent a few days checking out the Rumble 800 HD head and comparing it to the Rumble 500 head. I used two Mesa Subway 1x15 cabs during the comparison of the two heads. Basses used were a Nash P, Nash J and a Roscoe Century 5 string.
For the past year I always enjoyed using the R500 head with the Mesa cabs. For my light weight, portable, Class D amp needs, the R500 provided me with a nicely voiced amp that always sat nicely in the mix. For my ‘rock’ band needs, it was a good light weight amp and proved to be the right tool for the job. With it’s 500 watts at 4 ohms, it always had enough power for any of my gigs, outdoor or indoor. I don't use any of the 3 voicing filters. The R500 didn’t have the ‘heft’ of my Super Bassman 300 or my Fender TBP-1 preamp/power amp rack rig, and that’s ok, I wasn’t expecting it to. There are a few minor things that I wished the R500 had: 1) A DI that’s not regulated by the Master volume. 2) A Speakon jack, as 90% percent of my speaker cables are Speakon equipped. 3) A mute switch. Fender added two of those wish list features to the new R800 head.
The R800 head is no doubt in the Rumble tone family. If you enjoyed the voicing of the Rumble V3 amps, you’ll most likely enjoy the R800. Is there a big, night and day, difference between the R800 and the R500? Simply put, no. Are there slight differences, yes. The new R800 seems to have more energy down low, it’s a bit fatter, fuller and warmer than the R500. It kind of sounds like the high pass frequency on the R800 is a bit lower than on the slightly tighter sounding R500. The high-mids seem to be politely voiced with the R800 and definitely smoother than the R500. I sometimes found the R500 just a little strident and harsh in the high-mid region that slightly emphasized string noise and clank. Sonically, that’s about the only difference between the two amps I could hear. I wouldn’t say the R800 is any ‘tubier’ that the R500. There really isn’t any added harmonic complexity or growl.

I noticed the fan on the R800 is just a bit quitter than the R500. Not that the fan was loud at all on the R500, just thought I’d mention it. Also, the finish on the two amps differ. The R500 has a bit of a sparkle in the finish and the R800 is flat black.

I’ll be using the R800 head at tonight’s rehearsal and I’m looking forward to it. Over the weekend I’ll compare my Rumble 500 Combo and the R800 head with a Rumble 210 cabinet.

It's here. I'm going to agree with @gsgbass that it appears Fender did it right by not just throwing an 800W amp into the 500 case but making it something very different. There's the 2 ohm switch and if I read the manual correctly you can run it without a load for recording. As for the sound I'll need time but it has that 'Fender' sound I like so much, maybe slightly more depth to it but definitely the Fender sound.
I have always liked Fender's utilitarian look to their equipment but this one satisfies the eyes without being over the top. Very nice look. Compared with the 500? If I had more money I'd keep them both, they are outstanding pieces of equipment. I may have to part with the 500 but nothing firm yet. I mean, who doesn't need a backup?

I am a huge fan of the 210 cabs, when I had my SVT I had 2 215s (Acoustic) but this rig captures that tone close enough to be 'THERE'. That Noir P-Bass was one of those impulsive purchases because I had never owned a P and I was led to believe the neck was a Louisville slugger sawed down the middle. Not so. My wife is giving me the bass for my bday, my 50th. I told her I was having a midlife crisis and I could either buy bass gear or a Corvette and some hookers.... she thought about it for awhile and then agreed to the gear.
