Here is a set of Fender Samarium Cobalt Noiseless Jazz Bass Pickups. I just got them here on TB a few weeks ago. I think they sound great. More “pure Jazz Bass” sounding than the current Gen4 version. They also have more umph and detail than the old, vintage noiseless set. My main problem is the raised A and D string magnets. They would be great, if my 78 Jazz didn’t have a 9.5 - 10” radius board. Since I use low action, there is a little too much string clacking, when I play higher up the neck.
Things done: The negative / black wire on the neck pickup was a little too short, to reach the connectors on my Obsidian Wire harness, so I added some length to that. For some odd reason, the bridge pickup cover was a little too wide to fit into the pickup cavity on my 78 Jazz
so I ended up having to sand down the ends on the bridge pickup cover, to make it fit. Nothing that you can see from above, just on the pickup ends (end pics shown). I can take other photos if needed.
