A full stack does have a dynamic sound for sure. I'm glad just to be doing the half stack, with the Super Bassman.

What did you switch back from? And why?
I went you to using a Hartke KB15 Combo for a while. It was easier to move around, but it just didn't have the same tone.
I doubt anything quite has the tone that the SB does. I have a PF-50T which is lovely and tubey and I like a lot, but it doesn't quite reach the level of the SB in terms of sublime tone. There's just something about it, a je ne sais quoi, as those snooty French and French Canadians say

The SB is on somewhat of a plateau of it's own.
I completely agree with you guys about the SB tone wise...well just about everything wise...lol. I've played many amps most recently had two v4b reissues running dule 610 cabs (larger gigs) great sounding rig...but was two much to move weight wise. The versatility tone wise and sheer power of the SB not to mention only 60 lbs was an easy decision! The 410 neo cabs are super light weight as well. I've been thinking of getting a 115neo as well.
My replacement Ampeg SVT-212AV showed up today. This replaces the SVT-212AV cab I sold off a couple of months ago. The Fender Super Baseman does fit well on top of the Ampeg.
I have two SVT 112 they sound great. but not really best for fender sound. with the fender bassman100t and SB300 I prefer the fender 115 neo cab...
I prefer the sound of a 2X cab over the the 1X cab. Personal preference on the tone coming out of the single larger area.
Heard nothing but good re the 212AV but I do loves me my 2

And it IS great running the SB into a smaller cab/speaker area for pushing the tubes more. Love it!

As rodl2005 has stated, the Super Bassman sounds great with any cab.
I love mine with my Fender 610 neo,
Ampeg 810e, Ampeg 410he, & Orange SP410 ( those last 2 both seperate and together).

I would agree that 15's are driven better out of 1X cabs, more than smaller size ones, like 12's, or 10's at two or more per cab. I wasn't liking the sound of two 12's in a 1X cab. They didn't have the bottom that the 2X12 cab has.
I gig with one svt212 with two svt112 for one years live with my metal band. then i test the svt212 alone and two svt112. in the svt212 two speakers share the same box, in the svt112 the speaker is alone and the two box are more near the ears. not more louder but better dispersion and same sweat tone.
I played the USA Geddy Lee Jazz through the SB/SVT for a little over two hrs. yesterday, and it sounded great.
