Mustangs are not cheap. $549 for the MIM P&J. $949 for the Vintera. $999 for the JMJ. $900 and up for the old MIJs. American Performer $1,199. Two grand and up for a late 60s & 70s Mustang.

2019 was a magical time. So affordable.

I’m no pro, but I bought the Vintera for its build similarities to the original Mustangs (pickup, neck, etc). I love the thump and growl, like it’s pissed off for being called “shorty” all its life.

And within a 3 year window .. BAM! .. they are now $850.

I finally bought a Vintera, and it was basically the same as my Performer without the J pickup, but the same wide neck. It felt similar to the '76 Mustang I sold. I don't need another wide-neck Mustang. Currently looking for a MIJ in good shape.

Hazelnut oil is good and apparently, leaves no microscopic deposits in the grain.
