Fernando Rosa Jazz flatwounds

Hi! For those of you who check out his instagram jams, what type of flatwounds does he use on his jazz bass? The silk looks red or light red and pretty worn and from what I remember Ernie Ball flats does not have that colour. It’s a great sound!

You can see the silk ends pretty clearly in this video: Login • Instagram

I don't do social media. Is there a YouTube video?

EDIT: I just saw the pic. Red silk can mean either La Bella 760FL (43-104) or TI Jazz Flats (43-100). The main difference is La Bella have no silk at the ball end, while TIJFs have red silk at the ball end as well.

The only thing about the red silk on the Roto 77 Flats is the start of the silk would line up across all four strings. TI and La Bella are different in the sense the winding length (ball end to silk) on the E string is shorter than the other three, as seen in the OP's pic.

I clicked on the link but just saw a login page, no picture, and gave up. I stand by my statement that Rotosound 77s have red silk, but I make no claim that those are the strings in the picture. :-)

I'm glad that a strings deal doesn't make people feel obliged to rip off their ancient flats.

In this short YouTube video does FR's P-bass seem to be wearing Chromes?

I like how he has a moving digital sign telling us about the bass and its color, but... why not put the strings up on the sign too?

Pretty much whenever I hear a bass demo video, I wonder, what are the strings? They don't usually come right out and say.

And the LaBella FL one is not red but orange

Orange-ish red, maybe...?
