Finally some new tracks!

Hey everyone.

It's been a while, but we finally got some new recordings done, and up and ready for everyone to listen too. We have been playing out locally a lot and I was wondering if you guys would like to listen.

Band name is Sourblood, we have gone through a guitarist and drummer change since last time some of you have heard us. I believe that all the changes we have made have been for the best.

We are a metal band with scream vocals about 90 to 95 percent of the time, and starting to work in singing vocals with our newer material that hasn't been recorded yet.

So sorry for the book.

Dude, I think it f'ing rocks, vocals and all. Vocals could use a little more "beef" but that probably could be accomplished in the mix. Definitely fits the music. I'd like to hear more of the clean background vocal actually.

Bass sounds great. Doesn't get lost at all. I think it's a lot better mix than you hear with similar-sounding bands.

Band sounds really tight overall. Always helps to have a hottie on your album cover too hehe. Good luck.

Glad that everyone approves, I mean with Metal Bass, you can't always cut through the mix or do something flashy, I try to do the best i can to help lift the song.

I like it! I've always had a taste for this type of music. In fact I've found myself wondering a lot if I wouldn't enjoy being in a band like this. It's the emotion of it all that really rocks. Your singer reminds me a bit of Dave Mustaine, and IMHO thats a good thing! You ever do any Megadeth covers?

We actually get that alot about him too. You should see what he looks like too, he looks alot like the singer from Machinehead, its crazy.

yea the energy during shows while we play is crazy. Our fans are awesome as well, there is nothing sweeter then seeing a bit break out during your songs.

overall i think the mix sounds really good.. i found myself wondering if the kick drum could use a little more low end (sub 80Hz or so) when it's exposed during the drum breaks, but that's sort of a tough call to make when the guitars and bass are as heavy as they are. i could maybe see a different kind of production on the vocals (a natural sound mixed with a bandwidth limited/distorted sound) to add a little more 'beef' like someone said, but apart from those two things, the tracks sound really tight.

Thanks for the pointers.... we plan on taking a lot more time on our next cd, then we did with these five tracks that we have with our new drummer.... He actually learned and put his own spin on our tracks in less then 2 months before we recorded them. I can't wait to see where our newest music is going from here.
