Finding Year by Year Specs

Where can I find the year by year specs for Fender basses? I'm looking for the full specs like body wood and number of pieces, neck construction including radius and fret size, pup specs, available colors, etc..

I just have always wanted a '75 Jazz and know I won't be able to afford one so, I'm gonna have to build or assemble one that's as close as I can get it. Also, I know the '75s aren't the best year, but I just want one like it would have been if it was built the year I was born. Just a "I want one" type of thing. I guess I'm wierd like that.

Why don't you just buy a used 75 reissue from Fender? That's as close as you're gonna get, and with a used price you'll be ahead, where you'll spend more trying to build one.

+1 - plus the resale won't be as low as if you try and sell a parts bass later...

The Fender Bass (An Illustrated History) by Black & Molinaro (Hal Leonard) has a lot of that, though not all of it.

But go with the RI.
