I’m not sure why we don’t talk about Anthony Vitti more around here but he’s got some incredible instructional materials and a pretty great YouTube channel. Definitely worth poking around, be sure to check out the Forgotten Groove Yard.

I have been working in Finger Funk Vol. 1 & 2 lately and was excited to see this preview. Admittedly I still have lots of shedding to do with the first two books.

I only have Finger Fun Vol. 1 & 2 and the Sight Reading one but he also has some hip hop & slap material, not much in the way of jazz though. He’s converting to digital offerings so delivery to you would be simple. Great stuff!

I'm interested in the funk and the jazz stuff, not so much the other genres.

Same here, I wish I had put the time in the with a pick earlier on. The tone wasn’t really to my taste at first but I appreciate it now. Carol Kaye’s approach has really helped me get the technique in order for simpler playing at least....those sixteenths in the FF Vol’s or a track like Games People Play would have me falling on my face or winding the tempo waaay back...LOL.

For me it was seeing Bobby Vega....my brain exploded..... I didn't play for at least a week after that.......

I’m not sure what happened to the video in my original post but these books still have me floored. The trip wires he builds into these tracks are crazy….but they’re so much FUN to work through. I only wish fingerings and or videos were included. Here’s a recent post from Vol. 3…..LOVE IT!!!!
