finger tip problem

Bit of a strange request this , have been playing on and off for the last 18 years mainly just playing to records etc . However was practicing with a few mates every week until about 4 months ago .
Started again last week playing with a guy who is a brilliant guitarist and for the first time really sounded good as a 3 piece. My problem is where i had'nt played for 4/5 months i've lost the hardness on my finger tips (non fretting hand) so even though i want to play within an hour i had a large blood blister on my finger. I have used expanding foam on the tips of my fingers as in what builders use to fill voids but wondered if there was anything on the market that was more usable but as effective ??

Thanks , will it re-inforce it enough , think it's personally going to take around 15 -20 hrs playing to get them back to what they were as they lasted an hour playing solid r&b rock last week and don't want it to happen again

LMAO,... i recently started playing again after a 5+ years lay-off. i got serious blisters a on both fingers and drained them. after a day or two i was back playing through the pain and after a few weeks my callouses are perfect!!!

It was only a question , forgot to mention i removed the dead skin

Not good advice as it is subjective on daily hand use not just playing.

Be careful trying to drain a blister before it's ready. Infection is always a risk.

Heat up the needle with a blue flame, insert it from the edge towards the center and squeeze the liquid out but do leave the skin on... it will come off when it's done.
