Hello. I would like to question everyone. Regarding jazz bass, which is your favorite like finger board material Maple or Rose type? By the way, I like Rose, but I think that Maple is good only for sound of slap playing style. thanks.

I think ebony fretless is my favorite, actually. But they're all like different tonal colors, like a painter using different brushes for different effects. It's all good.

I always prefer the density, reflection and wear of ebony. Maple is in second place, rosewood just meh.

the differences in sound/tone are minuscule (if they exist at all!): much less significant than the look of the thing....i like them all. never owned a maple fretless = my 'quest'!
