First 5 string bass and amp. Spector 5 and Fender amp?

Hello, im from Poland.

My first post here, I am a guitarist who want to start his journey with first Bass guitar. I own Three guitars. Sqiuer Tele, Strat and Jackson Superstrat. Something inside me tells me to slap bass guitar. I mainly listen to rock and blues, time to time metal. I am thinking of my first bass. I would like to start with 5 string since i like bands like Mudvayne, Korn or Avatar. Apart from metal i would play some Dinosaur Jr, Smashing Pumpkins.

I am thinking of Spector 5 Performer in White finish , as for Amp maybe Fender Rumble 40. I rather use lighter string set, so a 125 set by Daddario would be way to go. I can try 130 too. Budget for bass 450 USD, Amp 330 USD. Is it good way to start? Also im not a big guy, 5'9 maybe 5"10 wouln't be this a problem?

I would like to have also distortion for bass, i love to play with clean settings but time to time so distortion would be cool. :)

Before deciding on a brand and color, you will be doing yourself a favor by first going to a music store and playing every 5 you can get your hands on. There are so many different specs on 5 string basses, from scale length to string spacing and nut spacing. Finding the set up that is comfortable for you is most important as the wrong one will likely hamper your progress. Then find a brand with those specs and pick a color.
