I think that played into it a bit - we all got on well together, but I think I was a little too quiet and they couldn't get a good enough read on me (again, that's on me - it was just first time nerves). Of course, it might have been my playing too ;)
 
Hey, pal, I just wanted to say congrats on going through the process. Don't worry about not getting that particular gig, though. Your gig will come. Then, it will be a joy for you. You'll be more relaxed next time, and more experienced. Actually, you may never have to audition again. The one gig you're waiting on could just come together by talking to folks. That's the way most of my bands have come about. I think I've only ever actually auditioned twice in the last 50 years of playing.
