Beautiful. Congrats. I had one of those and they're made so well. The sound is fantastic too. I'm sure you'll get years of enjoyment out of it.
That is a classy looking bass. I hope it is a lifelong acquisition.Walnut body, redwood top. Maple neck, ebony fretboard.
I wasn’t sure what to expect. Incredible instrument, wonderful neck. Just a big wow all around. Going to be fun learning all the knobs and switches. View attachment 7229512
Thank you for the comment.Congrats. I have a Monarch Standard Special with Amboyna top, Otherwise, same. It’s a great working bass: stays in tune, keeps a set up, etc.
I bought it because it was the “end-all, be all” boutique bass. I’ve had a lot of boutiques and some cost a good bit more, but nothing I’ve played in 50 years checks all the boxes for me like my Fodera.
You have a gorgeous and very useful bass there. Play it like you mean it and it will be a point of pride and a very practical working tool.
Almost 9, I went for the heavier one.I'm sure this is one of those "If you have to ask...." moments, but what does such a beauty weigh?
Actually his is a Monarch. The Emperor is equally as nice! The Emperor Standard series from Fodera is a real winner. You will enjoy the bass thoroughly.
The electronics on the bass are pretty intuitive. 3 band active EQ with a blend and passive tone control. Then the switches are the coil tap and active/passive mode. I have a 5 string version of the Emperor Standard and love it.
Enjoy your new bass for many years. Congrats!
