First gig report: Ampeg Micro VR

First off, I have played tube heads exclusively for the past 6 years - YBA 200, Sunn 300T, vintage Ampeg V4, vintage SVT, and now a vintage V4b. I decided to take a chance on the Micro VR because I am tired of carrying the V4b to every practice and small party gig. I had a party gig last night that was supposed to be without a drummer.

We ended up having a drummer afterall, and we were on a back porch. I used the Micro with a matching LDS 1x15 (3015).

All I can say is wow! This little guy did amazing. Very close to my V4b in overall tone. Not quite as nice, but pretty close! I know I'm late to the game, as these amps have been put for a while, but I am very impressed. Very much worth the $260 I paid, and the 10lbs was very nice during setup and tear down!
