Today is the day I get to use my walnut P bass! Gig starts at 7:30 am! Beatles songs on a p bass? Why not?

The gig came out great! It was for the school district back to school assembly. It was a staff and student band. My son did lead guitar. So proud of him, as he is just about to start his junior year in high school.
Some thoughts about the bass. The neck is extremely fast, but it is also very thin. It gave me some problems. I had to concentrate harder on landing on the correct note. I definitely have to get used to it some more.
The tone is amazing! Definitely the best sounding base I have ever owned. It was thumping and pumping!

I'm not a P-Bass guy, but that is sweet! How do you like the TC Electronic cabs, head too?
I really like them. The cab really gives me a solid bottom. The sound guy said it was cutting through and I could have easily done it without running through the house. It's a 1000 seat auditorium and it was a full house. The combo is fine by itself for small gigs but if you turn up the volume too much it becomes muddy.
