Well the last couple years or so...I've been rocking guitar and the desire to play bass struck me again. I wonder if it's really just a desire to spend money on more gear...but really who cares?? 
My first Soundgear, SR405 - it's a beauty. $349 used at the local sam ash. Not sure what these go for new but it's a lot bass to be sure. Great clear tone, nicely shaped neck, string spacing is just right, and the neck isn't too tall for a 5'er.
Very satisfied...now to rip some blues off on this baby, right after I finish driving my neighbors batty while covering Ugly Kid Joe "Neighbor"
