I'm really stoked that Cream City is a Lakland dealer!!!!!!!!! Ever since Cascio/Interstate stopped carrying ANY bass (other than Fender) over $500, and Electric City closed there's been no Lakies in this part of the frozen tundra!!!!

And they are good people at Cream City too . Its been years since Casio was a dealer . Lucky for me the local GC was always happy to special order my Laklands . I always got a good deal too .
Cream City also has a US Hollowbody and a US Decade coming in too .

As for Bob's Questions (MR. Packer Guy).....I will check....don't know.

the basses will be more "special issue" items so I doubt they would be for sale, but I will ask....as far as attendees, not sure if any techs will be coming.....

I like Randy's idea of a "personal" swap/selling opportunity!

Guys, it seems like a faux pas to have a private buy/ sell/ swap in someone else's store or parking lot. I would think that for this reason Dan won't be selling anything direct and taking $ out of the hands of his new dealer.

good point we may really need to reconsider at what rate we handle this "personal sale" issue.

I think to turn this into a "swap meet" is a very bad idea .
Cream City has been very gracious in hosting this event . To bring equiptment to their store and to be making deals in their store would be disrespectful to Cream City .
Perhaps in another venue it would be appropriate . Not in this case . As basspraiser had said there is a possiblity of a June event where this may be more appropriate .

All: I stand corrected....Embly is correct....I don't want to create any "issues".....I have asked Dan to see if he can bring a few items, but that, if he does, Cream City will be credited as the dealer on those items....

if you want to bring your bass to let others try it - GREAT - but I retract my suggestion about making it a swap meet.....no "open deals" allowed....sorry - I guess I jumped on that too quickly!

Good idea on the negatory for the "swap meet" concept. When we did this at Dave's guitar shop in LaX, WI a couple years ago, guys brought their axes and there was a lotta goo goo gah gah, but no trades, sales, etc. Of course, there was lots to admire hanging on Dave's walls.

I'm hoping to A/B a Glaub and a Dunn. I'm trying to decide between one of those two or wait till the 5 string Glaub is out. Are the necks on all Skyline 5s the same????? I'm loving the neck on my JO5.

I'll bring my Glaub - someone (GregC?) bring a DD for him to try.

as for the neck, they are different. I believe the JO and 55-02 necks are the same/very similar, but the DJ5 is different....not sure which neck the BG5 will have....maybe I will know soon though!!!

I was at Cream City today . They have a US Glaub and a Skyline Dunn . You can try them side by side .
The Us Glaub is exactly the same as my Skyline Glaub .
Sunburst , rosewood fingerbaord . tort guard . I could not tell a difference . Except the bigger price .
Footnote- They have a 44-01 and 55-01 both in natural with rosewood , and a Duck Dunn also.
