We might as well close the thread with this one. At least when it comes to rock songs this takes the cake, the birthday kid and the mom back home and start a new family with them.

A couple of more honorable mentions from me:

Human Torch - Fastball's Make your mama proud

Pollution - Limp Bizkit's 3 dollar bill (please don't hate, I thought it was promising)

Rain Wizard - Black Stone Cherry debut of the same name

Hot Stop - The Aggrolites' Dirty Reggae

Stand Up and Shout by Dio off of Holy Diver is a good one.

But I have to go with Black Sabbath Black Sabbath Black Sabbath.

Of all the great first songs out there, that one stands the test of time and remains one of the greatest metal songs, hell, one of the greatest rock and roll songs period. And the band kept that stuff up for like 5 records in a row. Tremendous power.

Oh, just remembered this one-
A friend of mine recommends the Screaming Headless Torsos, he thinks I would like this kinda group...so I buy it without ever having heard these guys.

The leadoff track from their debut album, "Vinnie"...homerun!
