This is my first guitar build. It started as a joint build project last summer with my son when we decided to build our own basses. I have managed to finish mine; he needs more time as he was off at university. No previous carpentry experience apart from DIY putting up shelves, etc.

Obviously the style is familiar, but it is in homage and I have no intention of adding a serial numbered jack plate or a copycat name plate on the headstock.
I'm going to call it a Jaybird. It may be some time before I even think of embarking on another project, and I maybe now have the confidence to do something of my own design.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience and I hope some of you like it too.
