My wife plays bass, nothing approaching pro status or anything. She wants a new set of strings but doesn't know about the tech side of gear. I'm looking at a set of Rotosound RS66LD strings but I'm not sure what length we need to buy (long, medium, etc).
String length between the end wrapping is 36.5" for the outside two strings, and 37" for the center ones. Average distance between the saddles and nut is 34".
I thought about going one size thinner for a little brighter sound as well. Currently it has an unknown brand set, .109, .086, .063, .045. She'd like a little brighter sound. The Bass is a Cort four string with Jazz and Precision pickups.
Looking at Musicians friend, they don't list the actual length in inches.
