Double Bass Fishman pickup on my upright

Sounded pretty bad, though- absolutely no bottom end.
What amp are you using and are you using a pre-amp? The BP100 needs a fairly high input impedance to avoid bass roll-off, so using a pre-amp or amp with a high input impedance can help warm up the low end.

That said, I don't disagree with anything written above. In my experience, using a pre on that pickup will make the sound go from bad to less-bad, but it's never really good.
