Hey all,
I'm not too familiar with the inner workings of amps and all of that, so I'm wondering if someone smarter than me could help me out. I got a Fender Bassman 400 amp for basically free in a deal with the understanding that something was wrong with it that was probably fixable.
So I plugged it in -- amp turns on, so that's fine. I can run a signal out to a different cab and I get sound, so that's all good. But when I just run the amp by itself, I get no sound at all to the 2x10 speakers built in.
Any ideas of what to check for? I've replaced the fuse and that hasn't made anything work.
After that I need to replace a few pots -- it looks like this amp fell on its face and it's broken off a few knobs and the pot shafts completely and bent up a bunch of others.
