Flanger

Have a Boss BF2 that I bought new in the 80's and still like / use it.
Also have an old MXR micro flanger that is very nice although sounds better with some basses (Jazz) more than others (SR).

Didn't like the DoD or older EH units as much.
I know many love the Sound Block units but they did not work for me.

Has anybody had their hands on the MXR or EHX pedals that can provide their two cents

I've recently picked up the MXR micro flanger and like it a lot. The MXR won the competition against an EHX stereo electric mistress, EBS UniChorus, and a Guyatone FL3. Also had a Maxon FL9 in the past and was really disappointed by it.

Favorite features of my top 3:
MXR M152 - most responsive to picking dynamics and most interactive with distortion.
EHX S.Mistress - best control of filter matrix and blending in chorus.
Guya FL3 - adjustable resonance and tiny size.

Limitations of my bottom 3:
Maxon FL9 - too subtle and far back in the mix. Needs an 'effect volume' control.
EBS U.Chor - nonadjustable feedback/resonance.
Guya FL3 - tone sucking bypass
