Flat Electrosocket?

I've got a PJ with a side jack, and the manufacturer drilled the screw holes for the football shaped plate slightly off. I can plug and redrill without it showing, but wouldn't mind if I could just build something into the 7/8 hole in the side of the body. Problem: I like using right-angle cords, and Tele style sockets are generally recessed. Anyone got a pointer to a jack that fits into the hole but isn't recessed/scooped like an electrosocket? I've got a oval/football plate without the indentation on the way as well.

uhm, maybe a better angled plug will help?

I’m pretty sure, amphenol acpm-rn will fit the recessed jack, but I believe I also saw a plug like this from g&h as well.

I use an electrosocket with a right angled plug just fine. Some may not fit, like the cheap flat plugs, but Neutrik work great.

I’ve got a couple of genuine Electrosockets and knock offs that right angle plugs work just fine with. Maybe I’m lucky? I have been using the same Spectraflex cables for a long time.

I've used the Switchcraft #11 long threaded jack in a standard Electrosocket and that seems to a bit work better with RA plugs.
