not the prettiest setup but the sound filled the room and I was able to hear!! Awaiting the 13" folding step stool that should be perfect. Thanks to all that responded!

I mostly do IEM’s nowadays and most of the volume goes through FOH so I’m close to having no cabinet on stage. Currently using a single markbass 1 12”. It’s tiny so I bought an amp stand. It’s one more piece of gear to carry but does the job of getting the amp aimed up and off the floor. If the in ears go out or I remove them I can hear just fine. Attached photo is what that looks like, dwarfed on a decent stage. Same setup is also perfect for small gigs with no FOH.

Old thread reboot. Our rehearsal area has a 100 watt Rumble on a milk crate. For weeks I’m wrestling with this amp. I couldn’t believe how terrible it sounded. I have read so many people raving about the Rumble series. It was making me paranoid.

Last night I took the amp off the crate and put it on the carpeted floor. FINALLY I could get a sound that was a usable starting point. I’ll have more time next rehearsal to work with the amp.

Putting a bass amp on a crate isn’t always a good idea. (At least for me) I was ready to haul my amp over to rehearsal and I hate the thought of doing that. Phew.
