Flying V Case

Hi y’all!

Longtime bassist here. I’m usually a Fender short scale guy, but couldn’t resist picking up a 98 Epiphone Flying V short scale this last week. It rules! But I’m finding it impossible to find a case for it. Anyone have any ideas? I’m partial to a hard case but a particularly rigid soft case will do.

I saw an Explorer bass hard shell case on zZounds, which looks like it **might** fit. But thought I’d check with y’all first.

yeah, I looked at those. That SKB is for guitars, not basses. I found an Explorer case on zZounds that I ordered to see if it will fit. We shall see!

The square hardshell case for an Epi Flying V is huge , I mostly play mine at home but if I do drag it out usually use a Gibson gig bag . The nose pokes out about an inch , but otherwise is fine .
That hardshell case is big and awkward .

I ended up picking up that square hardshell case that's technically for the Explorer. It is huge but, yeah, it fits. I want to be able to play this thing out (whenever we can do that again) so it was important for me to find a case for it.

A friend used to play a Firebird , he had the same enormous case so we started calling him "Big Case"
So after a couple of years of that I picked up the V and it came in the same big rectangular case . I walked in and he said "Hi , Big Case".
My case is black tolex with a dark grey interior , there's a tag on the compartment cover that says "Made in Canada" .

Hey man, I have the same V bass with same case issues. Can you confirm that the explorer case mentioned here does indeed fit it? is it possible to see a pic? would love to confirm before i shell out for it myself!
