Double Bass Foam for Hercules Double Bass Stand

Anyone know where I could purchase suitable foam tubing for a Hercules stand? My foam is getting tired, and Hercules doesn't sell parts from their website.

They don't sell anything from their website. Have you contacted them or inquired with a dealer? You could also use self-sealing rubber or polyethylene pipe insulation.

What size do you need?

I don't have a Hercules, but I replaced the crappy foam on an Ingles with automotive radiator hose.

I replaced the Ingles foam with pipe insulation. Taped the ends with black gaffer tape.

I wouldn't do that for the Hercules, because there is much less grip with pipe isolation than with rubber foam pipes. That means, the bass might be able to fall to one of the sides because of the reduced grip.

TSC or any hardware store will sell pipe insulation tubing. I bought mine at some discount hardware store to do my ingles. For $5 you will get a lifetime supply

I think I am going to use automotive heater hose for the lower supports, it will hold up better because of the weight concentrated on the edges of the top and back ridges.
