Up for sale is a nice Fodera Emperor 5 Elite 5 string bass that I picked up here on TB close to 4 years ago. This bass was my 1st opportunity to play a Fodera and it actually became one of my Favorite basses to play. I am not playing much lately due to injury and I have some high end gear that I need to move so it's time to put this bad boy back on the market.
I am mostly looking for a cash sale but I will consider a partial trade+ cash deal for high-end basses.

The that I have for the specs are as follows:

Top: Ebony
Body: Walnut, Cherry Tone Block
Fingerboard: Ebony
Inlays: Mother of Pearl
Pickup covers: Wenge
Scale: 34 Inch
String Spacing: 19mm
Electronics: 2011 preamp
Production date: 1991
Pickups: Dual Coil Bartolinis JJ 9-s? Not 100% sure on that one
Weight: 10.2 lbs.
The bass is in great shape and plays well. There are small crack at the end of the fretboard that was repaired many years ago and it has not moved since. It's basically unnoticeable unless you are looking for it. See picture below.
There is an emperor plate inlay on the body that was installed by Fodera many years ago to cover a previous owner's name. There was actually a thread dedicated to this back in 2001 - I found it via search.
As one of the previous owners mentioned - "this bass is a player and is no museum piece, but if you are looking for a beautiful affordable fodera, this is the one" I've owned over 30 bases and this was one that I held onto for quite a wile and got a lot of enjoyment out of it. I picked this up when I was thinking about buying a Fodera Standard - for around the same price. So happy I bought this bass instead. I have been extremely happy with this bass and will be sad to see it go but life happens and I have a few basses that I will be moving soon.
The condition of the bass is exactly how I received it four years ago. The bass has never left the comforts of my climate controlled home.
This bass comes with a beat up Fodera case.
