Up for Trade/sell is my Fodera Emperor 5 string bass. This has been my main bass for the past couple of years, but a "life" situation has occured and now I need to sell/trade the bass. The bass has a very punchy full sound. The bass wasd made in 1997 and has an interesting history. The bass was sent back to Fodera a few years ago and the preamp was upgraded to the 2011 version and she now features gold Fodera knobs to watch the gold hardware. Also, there is a portion of the fretboard, around a couple of the frets near the pickups, where a small crack occured, but it was fixed a while back and I have had no issues with it (see pic). The bass is not a museum piece, but she looks great on stage and sounds awesome great. She has been my main bass for the past couple of years. I do "baby" my bassess and this bass is no exception. The condition of the bass is the exact same as when I received her. Also, the Fodera hard shell case does not have a handle; I have used a luggage strap to connect and carry when I am playing out. The price takes the condition into consideration. She may not be a museum piece, but she sure does sound great!
I am only thinking about selling/trading since I am getting ready to move cross-country and I need to raise some funds for the move.
I am interested in either selling for $5500 or trading the bass for a 5 string bass + cash. I may consider a 2 for 1 deal; just let me know what you have. If you would like to trade and offer cash, please send me your cash offer. Also, I prefer a bass with 19 mm string spacing.

Pickup covers: Ebony
Body: Mahogany (maybe walnut?)
Fretboard: Ebony (maybe Rosewood? It is difficult to tell, but it is highly figured)
