Folks with Fender Rumble 25 experience....

Like most acoustic basses, mine (I have a 4-string and a 5-ver) do not project enough volume unamplified to keep up with a couple of buddies playing their 6-string acoustics when we're sitting around jamming on the back porch. So I'm in the market for a small, light, easy to carry and unobtrusive amp that will give me just enough oomph to keep up with a couple of unamplified Dreadnoughts. I don't need to get too loud, just loud enough to make a good mix with other unamplified guitars, vocals, maybe the occasional cajon.

For you folks that have experience with the Rumble 25 - do you think it is enough to meet my needs? My main concern is the 8" speaker; will it fart out on a low B? Will I be restricted to playing my 4-string if I buy this? Would I be better off with the larger speaker in the Rumble 60 or would that get me away from the small, light, easy to carry aspect?

Inquiring minds want to know!

Thanks in advance for any tips or sageness.

Hi, I'm on the same situation right now. Just picked up a used G&L L2500, n looking for a cheap amp for it. Have u bought that Rumble 25? Rumble 40 still too expensive for me, since I only play it for fun in my room with a headphone.
