Double Bass Footrest while standing to play?

Does anyone use a footrest to raise their left foot while standing to play double bass? I've been messing around with this at home practicing as it seems to lock the bass to the inside of my left leg better than having both feet flat on the ground and makes fingering easier, especially in the higher register. If you do, what footrest do you use?
Thoughts?

That’s one of the purposes of an angled pin. Especially the Rufus Reid style canted and angled. I would also be concerned with the imbalance in your hips, keeping all your weight on one side being a long slow road to back problems, but maybe that’s just me projecting my own back problems. My other concern is that the in the Rabbath school of thought I came up in it’s essential for tone production to have both feet firmly rooted to the ground, that’s where tone production begins. If it works for you and you find it comfortable that’s great. I’m not saying you can’t do it, or it’s wrong or anything like that, but you asked for thoughts and those are mine about it. In the words of Walter from The Big Lebowski “these are my concerns, dude” Ultimately, do your own thing and have fun doing it! I’m happy you found a way to play that feels a bit better for you.

I use a yoga block under my left foot - but I play seated on a low stool. I've seen several other seated players use this as an alternative to putting the left foot on the rung of the stool.
I'd be concerned about alignment issues standing, though.
