I must be weird. I'm sighted, but I set my EQ by ear instead of by eye.
Or is the objective to make sure a blind person can achieve a proper "smiley face"?

I do. First I sweep my parametric notch filter frequency to remove any boom, or switch it out if I don't need it, and then I fiddle with the level of each EQ band until it sounds right. It may take a few more tweaks during the first three or four songs to get it right, and from that point on any other tonal changes I get via technique.Do you guys set your tone every time you go to play by listening?
