Forearm guard

Oh, of course, I get it now..


My forearm doesn't touch the bass. You don't need to play in such a way as to require arm protection. Unless that is really what you prefer to do.

Change your playing style. Why do you need to rest your forearm across the top of the body. I changed mine so I only have contact with my right thumb on either the corner of the neck, or on the side of the neck pup. It changed the angle of my wrist, so I'm not getting tension on the tendon in the wrist area. It has also put less drag on the plucking fingers because this changes the angle the hand is at in comparison to the strings. A cleaner, faster, and smoother playing for me with this style of playing.
