Forum suddenly sluggish?

I’ve noticed a significant slowdown in the board’s responsiveness recently. Pages taking a long time to load. Same on multiple devices and internet connections.

Just sharing my observation in case something is going on.

Right now it’s almost unusable for me. One page didn’t display correctly when it did finally load.

Blocking a lot of bad bots this morning. They were overloading the site. Should be getting better!

Is this related to all the extremely intense advertising (mostly videos, large and in between lots of posts and sidebars, too) these days? They tend to take control of things in several ways, apparently.

No, this is completely unrealated to any advertising.
