Found my new love

Hey guys,

Been creeping around the forum for a few months, here's my story.

Played piano for years growing up, love music, got into contact sports (football, hockey, nowadays only rugby) playing fell to the wayside. Always wanted to play guitar, never could get it to stick. Got married, had twins (who are freaking amazing) she left, so me and the babies had to start over. Everyone's advice was to find a new hobby to help take my mind off that and find some 'me' time without the kiddos.

Did my research, borrowed my brother's xbox and bought rocksmith and a used epi sg on the cheap to learn guitar. Sooooo determined this time.

Sucked. Never felt the music like I did when I avidly told my friends about all my favorite music and how cool it was.

One night I noticed it had an emulated bass mode. Tried it with the guitar. Next paycheck bought a used Ibanez bass for 50 bucks.

I was hooked. I finally felt the music like I did when I was rocking out in the car/kitchen/truck.

Only problem, the heavier metal I loved left me with downtuned with strings floppier than my junk contemplating fornicating with a woodchipper.

After much research on here, I finally found my comfort zone. Labella 0760M with a Dunlop 3.0 pick serrated with my dremmel. High mids on the amp. So much fun. Just got done playing for nearly 5 hours (it's her night with them) and finally put it down before the neighbors lose their minds.

I just wanted to say hi and I appreciate all of the posts here. You guys really have given me so much over the last few months and it has been great!
