Fractal FM 9 plus Bergantino Super Pre?

I recently ended up in a situation where I need a solid DI box for practice and recording. I'd like a top tier multi-effects unit as well so I can craft while not in the studio or perform while packing light.

I really like the sound and features of the Bergantino Super Pre. Is there any reason to have that and the Fractal Audio FM9 mkii Turbo?

When using many effects, does it get bogged down while also using amp & cab sims? Plus, the usual LPF, HPF, comp, fuzz, EQ, etc.

I was thinking:
Super Pre unaffected out into FM9 stereo effects into audio interface
• Super Pre post into audio interface

I think it's a little redundant. The Bergantino is a solid piece of gear. I have a B/Amp which seems to be very similar to the Super Pre in features. As much as I like it, I think the Fractal is going to give you everything and more that the Super Pre does. I have an Fractal FX3 and find I don't need anything else that would be worth adding to my setup. The FM9 should not get bogged down unless you are going completely over the top with adding blocks. Instead of having every effect in one preset, I just switch to another preset if the sound is going to be radically different. Overall I would stick with the FM9. The Bergantino doesn't have a baked in sound like Aguilar or GK so I don't feel it would "add" anything to your tone. It's transparent and clear. No interest in the new Dark Glass Anagram?

Mod: Dwarf is back in stock. It does everything. Like, everything.

I'll still get two. One just for power hungry amp sims + cab IRs and other baseline utility & fuzz/distortion. maybe looping? The other for crazy effects chains.

It's totally open source. Can even run it via USB drive on your existing computer.

I would look at some sort of 4 cable method.
With the HX stomp i looked at running it with my Super pre:
Into HXS > HXS FX send to input of SP > FX send of SP to FX return of HXS > Output of HXS to FX return of SP > Output and DI of SP to wherever you like.

I run a similar setup. I run the SUPER Pre with my HXFX in the loop. Into my amp. Works quite well. Was gonna do more of a 4CM setup, but the Super pretty has really good drives, so no need.
